We have a new Serafina still! For a character with so little screen time, we sure had lots of promotional photos! Thanks to Holli for this new still. 🙂

Anyway, it’s the end of the year, so I thought about asking you, regular visitors of Eva Green Web, what were your favorite Eva moments of 2007? What interview, magazine cover, dress, etc, did you like the most? Share your thoughts with other fans! 😉

And Happy 2008!!!

I loved Eva as Vesper Lynd!!

  2. Nicole Says:

Favourite Eva moment 2007 – Would have to be her winning the BAFTA in February and turning up with her signature crazy dress and hair. I think the British public were spot on by voting her “Rising Star of 2007”.

Favourite Eva Public Appearance 2007 – It’s a tie between her appearance at the Academy Awards, just because it’s such a huge deal and it kind of solidified her “arrival” as a star in her own right, and her appearance at The Golden Compass Party at the Cannes Film Festival – her dress was just extraordinary and it was nice to see her with simple make up and hair.

Favourite Eva Magazine Cover 2007 – A bit of a random one but I would have to chose the cover of the UK Observer Magazine as my favourite. It’s a simple head shot and shows Eva’s beauty to full effect.

Favourite Eva Photo 2007 – This one
It’s all about the subtle sexiness that is Eva Green.

OK, I’m done! Until I think of other fave moments? I hope that was kinda what you were after Mariana!

  3. Ea Says:

Well, it was super cool that she won the newcomer-bafta (don’t remember the official name).

  4. spot Says:

just a quick browse/post (on top of my head):

favorite Eva 2007 moment: her winning the BAFTA Orange rising star award

favorite magazine cover/photoshoot: French Numero (September 2007), Madame Figaro (with John Galiano, June 2007), The Observer Magazine (December 2007), and the always re-printed Vogue photoshoot (Vogue Australia, January 2007)

favorite dress/es: the CR Shanghai premiere gown and the Dior gown she wore in Versailles

  5. George Says:

Favourite moment was her winning in the BAFTA’s Rising Star Award, in combination with the fact that EvaGreenweb and each one of us (and many others) contribute to this achievement through e-voting. Favorite interviews were two recent in the site: in Sydney -16/12 and in Madame Figaro 13/12 (with much appreciation to Tango_down for the translation). Favourite photo is the following:
    Happy 2008 to everybody!

*The Madame Figaro interview Tango_down translated (thanks by the way)

    *The Vogue interview

    *People magazine’s “World’s Worst Dresser” article…that sucked…

*Missing that Interview in the Inquirer about Eva’s Christmas in Sweden…I’m still bummed about missing the printed issue.

*Finding out that Eva might possibly be in the Justice League…sorry, Justice League fans…I still don’t like it, but as I said before, I’m sticking by her a hundred percent…

And so…good-bye year 2-Double O-7 (sob), and hello year 2008!!! Hope this one is better for Eva and for all of us…

  7. Monique Says:

This just in: I fopund this in an article in a kid’s magazine, so i’m not 100% sure if it’s accurate…
Apparently, the producers of the upcoming justice League movie didn’t want Brandon Routh or Christian Bale in the movie, because they wanted younger actors…The ones who reportedly tried out for roles in the movie were:
    Adam Brody
    Anton Yelchin
    Teresa Palmer
    Mary Elizabeth Winstead
There wasn’t a single mention of Eva doing the movie in the article, it might mean that she won’t be in it, but again, I’m not sure the source is completely reliable, since it’s a kid’s magazine (in case you want to know, the mag’s name is K-Zone, and it’s only issued here in the Philippines)…by the way, I found an article on TGC in the same issue, no mention of Eva, but there was a picture…

P.S. Did any of you see the Movie Storybook of TGC? I know it’s kid’s stuff, but there’s a pretty good picture of Eva in page 25, I think…Oh, and on the Movie Poster book, as well…I haven’t seen the TGC Quizbook yet, but there’s a picture of Eva on the cover…Anyway, Happy New Year, guys!!!

  8. Tom Says:

Wasn’t Eva supposed to be in Japan for TGC release around 12/27 or 12/28?

  9. Lola Says:

There weren’t any rumours about Eva for any of her other roles either, as far as I’m aware. She often seems to be cast in roles that are difficult to cast and at the last moment, like James McAvoy, which I think can only be a good thing. I often think it’s a lovelier surprise to just find out that it’s confirmed than all that anticipation and messing around.

Loved Eva this year all the time, but she was esp. gorgeous in Numero, the inside pages of Vogue, Vanity Fair, the Shanghai premiere and London TGC one (less make-up would be appreciated, however. She really doesn’t need that much.) Loved her in NYC too, but the dress looked a little tight around the bust, a richer/brighter colour would have looked even fabber – like a deep purple for instance – but the 1940s styling suits her perfectly. 😉 😀 😀

  10. spot Says:

Monique: my niece have the TGC Movie Storybook, Movie Poster Book and TGC Quizbook (even the cast-character thingy book). i know what you’re talking about 😉

    Tom: that’s what i thought too…

Lola: there’s a role that Eva should have gotten as she was in consideration for it and i’m pretty sure all of you will want to see her in it (however, i know a lot of “hardcore Eva fans” might not support the idea). however, i can’t divulge what role it is until i get the proper permission to say so. i hope we’ll see more challenging roles for Eva this new year!

  11. EvaAnne Says:

    spot: I’m really curious now!

  12. Monique Says:

spot, spot, spot…you’re making me curious and jealous…your niece is lucky, how much did she get it and where?…here, the prices range from 200 to almost 400 pesos, I could buy it, but that’s too much for a children’s storybook…Ooohh, when can you tell us about this role Eva was offered or considered for?

Lola: that’s true, the spur-of-the-moment casting does deliver a good surprise, and it does work for her…

  13. Monique Says:

spot: any chance your niece will let me borrow those books? (Kidding, of course)

  14. spot Says:

Monique: the TGC books were part of a gift bag from someone from NL and it includes (i think, as far as i can remember) the TGC character action figues which you can get online.

i cannot say what character and film Eva was considered for (i still have to verify if she was indeed offered) until it starts filming or until i get the proper permission to say so but all i can say is, it’s a BIG role.

(that’s all i can say, i think it’ too much details already!)

as for borrowing the books, fat chance. my niece is “obsessed” with anything TGC. hahaha…but maybe that’s just me brainwashing her. hahaha

  15. Monique Says:

Oh, too bad…thanks for the info, spot…
LOL! Shame on you, brainwashing your niece…haha…

  16. EvaAnne Says:

spot: You got me so excited I suddenly thought it would be a brilliant idea to look at all the film the imdb lists for release in 2009, to guess which one it might be….but the already list1738 titles…so my brilliant plan proved slightly flawed….

    However, I did find: http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0937380/
To me this sounds a bit like something Eva might do…

  17. Monique Says:

EvaAnne: that’s a lot of films…but you’re right…it does sound like something Eva might do…she could fit the role of Amalia, unfortunately, it’s already filled out by Milla Jovovich…too bad…
but you know, I was thinking something along the lines of a film adaptation of some Gabriel Garcia Marquez novel…although, he usually uses younger heroines…but it would fit her, like Delgadina in Memories of my Melancholy Whores, she doesn’t do much in the book, but if it were Eva, I’m sure she could do wonders for a role like that (who cares if Delgadina is only fourteen, with a little adjustment, the role could be good for Eva)…
Okaaay, I’m getting ahead of myself…let’s just wait for Eva’s decision…I’m sure whatever movie she will make next, she’ll deliver an astonishing performane, as is usual for her…

  18. spot Says:

EvaAnne: sorry to keep you so excited that you went out of your way to find it out. Azazel is an interesting project and it sounds like something Eva might be interested in but it’s not Azazel 🙁 …sorry. it’s a film adaptation though. all i can say is, she has been considered or shortlisted, i’m not sure if she has been approached or offered.

  19. EvaAnne Says:

spot: Don’t be sorry! I’m an avid film buff, so I don’t mind looking up new films at all. We’ll hear from you when you cán say, I’m sure! 😉

  20. spot Says:

EvaAnne: you can count on it 😉
