Is it true that Eva Green makes an appearance in this film in flashback?
Barbara Broccoli: No, she doesn’t appear in flashbacks, but she’s certainly on Bond’s mind.

I assumed she wouldn’t film any scenes unfortunately, but I of course was hoping they’d fly her out for a day and film hehe 🙂

That’s SO annoying! The new ‘girls’ seem rubbish and Gemma Arteton has already given away that she’s filmed her sex scenes with Bond (and a very memorable hotel scene, which could be one-and-the-same thing), and that her character meets a, ‘…somewhat sticky end’. I hate that they’re giving away so much so soon, and that Bond’s having sex already – I know it’s fictional and he IS Bond, but I’m quite put-out by it all! 🙁

The new title is a direct reference to Eva – Vesper. Even without playing, she left her stamp.

Sorry, but who’s got the whole Press Con Interview?
Oh, check this out:

It seems so lonely without Eva…

George: how is “Quantum of Solace” a direct reference to Vesper? thanks.
January 26th, 2008 at 7:38 am
“No, she doesn’t appear in flashbacks, but she’s certainly on Bond’s mind.”
Ha ha, like we won’t see her, but she’ll be with us every second in Bond’s mind. That’s rubbish.

spot: solace –> consolation for Bond –> why Bond needs consolation? –> because of Vesper !

Off-topic, but I finally got round to reading Eva’s UK Vogue interview, and she’s is obscenely beautiful as Bertolucci says…I was thinking, ‘Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could get hold of the outtakes for that shhot’, as the pic that ended up on the cover was not the only choice, and didn’t appear in the rest of the shoot (as seen in the Vogue BTS video). 🙂

Eva is the only one!!
she’ll ever be the best Bond – girl that Mr. James ever had!
she’s still the most beautiful and talented actress who has played this role!!!
who’s in my opinnion, too?
I hope people won’t forget her when seeing the new “bunny”!
and I think, if I read the new bond girl has sex scenes, that she just is what Eva never was – a bunny which can’t get to bonds heart!
I hope for Eva that someone will tell her that she’s the best, because that’s so true!!!
by the way: I’m from Germany, and I hope, too, you can understand my english, it isn’t perfekt!
thx
bye,
Mona

GMX says that Eva will be on photos in the next Bond.
(engl. something like “Yes, there will be photos [of Lynd] and stuff like that. I don’t know who’s going to be the next Bond-Girl. I’m kind of jealous! I hope it’s going to be horrible – I will be the love of his life!”)
it’s old, I know, but it’s interesting that Bond has photos of Vesper, isn’t it? 🙂

hey…
thx for your welcome – greetings!
another fan from germany – great!^^
hmm I think that as a fan of all the bond films you will remember Eva. I’ve seen so many bond films, with halle berry, rosamund pike and so on, but I still remember Casino Royale as the most… emotional film. I think it’s the best film.
because of Eva, too!!!
the new film
is different I know because there isn’t Pierce anylonger, There’s no mrs. Moneypenny and Q doesn’t stay in the film, too.. but I like the new type of Charakter (I mean Bond).
and I like Eva!!!
xD
compliments to the administrators of this site: it’s great, Eva would be very proud if she would see it!!!
grüße an den deutschen Fan, Eva ist der Hammer, oder??
greetings @ all 🙂

Welcome aboard, Mona!!!
Tom: I don’t know what to think about that new film’s plot…but I’ll watch it, if only to see the pics of Vesper…LOL…
Lola: Yes!!!! Good work, Eva! She’s even higher on than Michelle Yeoh…of course, it’s going to be hard to top Ursula Andress, after all, she was the blueprint for all the Bond Girls (in the films, not necessarily the books) I saw a book on Bond Girls, and was very disappointed not to see Eva anywhere in it…of course, Casino Royale is fairly new, but still…

Oh, and any news on Franklyn…I’ve been dying to know more about it…when, oh, when is it coming out?
February 1st, 2008 at 5:18 am
Thanks Lola! it’s the current poll question on imdb.com and Eva is the number one choice (People’s choice? ;))

hey… i am another german fan=).. hi mona and the others=)
oh i hope there will be some pictures of eva(vesper) in the new bond movie.. that would be probably the nicest part of it=).. i have just had a look on the new bond-girls… seems they are already the “bimbos” as eva called the usual bond-girls in an interview on youtube…
and i am too looking forward to watching franklyn!!!!
@ mona: ich glaube sogar es wird dieses jahr noch einen film geben mit eva, in dem auch deutsche schauspieler mitspielen… der titel ist soweit ich weiß :”the nazi officer’s wife”
(english…:i think there wil be a film starring eva and some german actors this year… the title is, i think, :”the nazi officer’s wife”)…
well, i think it is now the right moment to say :THANK YOU!!!! this site is just great!! i love it!!
February 7th, 2008 at 3:48 pm
@ that would be awesome 😀 to see Eva in a movie that actually plays in Germany. i mean maybe she would come more often to visit Germany 🙂 yippieh
February 8th, 2008 at 7:13 am
Liz, Mona and May: I think that “The Nazi’s officer wife” is a “frozen” project being for years in the imdbpro future project list (as Mariana the webmistress informed me in my past question). By the way, what is your opinion about Alexandra Maria Lara. Have you seen any of her films? I like her very much in “Downfall” and “Control”
February 8th, 2008 at 11:46 am
George: …. and once again the bad news that this film is perhaps not existing…
i think alexandra maria lara is also a great german actress. she often plays some difficultly-situationed women… very interesting. but eva is stil the number one;)
so we are all looking forward to seeing the new film starring eva, i suppose=)
February 8th, 2008 at 11:50 am
may: are you from germany, too?? and if you are, where do you live??? i find it very interesting to have some other fans not far=)
i agree with you, it would be just great if eva visits germany more often… i have also come across that berlin is one of her favourite cities… she says she is enjoying it there very!!
February 8th, 2008 at 2:32 pm
Liz: Alexandra Maria Lara is Romanian-German living in Berlin and having the same agency as Eva (…who by the way is still number 1 according also to me!)
February 9th, 2008 at 5:00 am
I just finished watching Casino Royale for like the gazillionth time and I so wish Eva was coming back in this new Bond film even in just a few flashbacks coz her Vesper character is THEE best Bond girl ever.
I’m still going to watch QOS coz I love Daniel but it’s not going to be the same. I just know that I won’t feel that intense giddy feeling that I feel each time I watch Casino Royale. haha Vesper and James were so achingly beautiful together. Their lovestory broke my heart. I hate it when she died. But am happy to know that she is the only girl BOND has ever loved! haha
Up to now am still kicking myself for not seeing the movie when it came out in theatres. I have the dvd and I was hoping the deleted scenes were included in the Special features coz I really want to see the scene where they were swimming in the water/Caribbean. Does anybody have that scene somewhere perhaps? I wonder why they cut off that scene from the movie.
*sigh* Am so inlove with Eva and Daniel. I was so happy when I found out that they’re in Golden Compass but was very disappointed when I read that she only had a small part in the film. *sigh* haha
Anyways, back on topic, I don’t like the new Bond girls. For me, EVA is thee best Bond Girl ever. Not to mention the most beautiful and talented. *sigh*
Sorry for my uber long post. Am just on a Vesper-James high right now. haha Been watching music vids of them on youtube too.
