Two friends of ours have recently opened a fansite dedicated to the beautiful and talented French actress Adèle Exarchopoulos, who won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival (alongside Léa Seydoux and director Abdellatif Kechiche) and several other awards (including the César for Best Female Newcomer last Friday night) for her fantastic performance in Blue Is The Warmest Color. The site is still brand new and is a work in progress. So please take a tour, bookmark the address and keep checking it often for frequent updates and new additions. Belle is very respectful of Adèle and her career.

Wow! I can hardly keep track of all the Eva related updates recently. Thanks stef, M and everyone that is contributing to EGW! I think 300 is giving her a LOT of (good) exposure and judging by the reviews so far, even the negative ones, everyone seems to think she gives an amazing performance and completely owns the movie. I’m really excited and probably going see it this weekend.

ausrotten: Sullivan Stapleton suffered an injury while shooting Strike Back on Thailand, I guess he hasn’t recovered yet.

Oh and La Vie d’Adèle is such a great movie, both Adèle Exarchopoulos and Léa Seydoux give amazing performances, will check the website for sure.

The Young Hollywood interview is a really awkward format. Nasty set, dodgy music (sounds like something from a 90s video game) and a slightly creepy interviewer. Not entirely convinced by the whole Sullivan Stapleton can’t do the PR because he injured himself story…the PR looks like a hard slog.

She looks just magnifique!! I love the contrast – dark red lips, black hair and herself like an angel. Great inspiration for an artist, I have to admit :)

And the first Sin City 2 trailer – WOW, I was afraid that she won´t be there, but then I saw her in all her beauty and literally stopped breathing everytime when I saw her. Personally, I think that after the work she has behind her, Eva can effort to portray such a role, but I´m a bit worried that those who don´t know her, or know her only from her bigger projects (Casino,…) and haven´t seen the new 300, will not find her as a good actress but as a forever famme fatal (which, according to many interviews, Eva doesn´t want to be as an actress). I hope it´s just me being paranoid and I hope she´ll show everybody that she´s a QUEEN of her profession.

Have a nice day, guys :)

I think eva is goin to draw the 300 fanboys onto sin city, and most likely that’s what the studio is countin on and lookin at all the amazing reviews she’s been gettin for her preformance on 300 I think It might just happen, rest asure ppl that don’t know her previous work , are goin to google her coming out of the theatre .

EEEK!! @ Sullivan’s accident. Hope he’s okay now.

I GASPED everytime she appeared on the Sin City:ADTKF trailer!

@micheska That’s my biggest worry too. I’m hoping that this move of doing two blockbuster movies back to back is just a move to get noticed by casting directors. Thankfully, she’s universally known as a good actress with a lot of range and I think she has pretty much proven in her filmography that she can mix and work with blockbusters and smaller indie films simultaneously. The way I see it, it’s a fairly good strategy to get “noticed” by both the people in the industry and by a wide range of audience (but I still hope her team and management will do more to be very honest). After all, with the way the industry works nowadays, you don’t get your hands on the good projects unless you are “sale-able” in the eyes of the studios. Plus, the blockbuster paychecks certainly don’t hurt ;)

Also, OH HEY, WELCOME TO THE FANDOM NEW FANS!!! :)

All indications are that the film will be a success at the box office, so I’m doubly happy for Eva.

I’m also a little concerned because 300, Penny Dreadful, and Sin City share a few things: violence, nudity, and how willing she is to act in a provocative way.
Everyone here who have followed the career of Eva knows that she can act perfectly, but our opinions do not matter or care: is the big film studios and companies who build careers.

To me this is a move too but i hope once she have all the attention (and the money) of this works she move again and make movies with great directors that may improve her as an actress

She hasn’t got such consistently good reviews for anything. As a fan who has defended her to friends it makes me feel weirdly (and entirely unjustifiably!) proud. While she’s a really talented actress, performances in Camelot and Perfect Sense could be…. uneven or theatrical in places. It is great to see every critic just go Wow! And she comes across really well in the interviews. Another Huff Post review/interview: http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/4904649

I’m a little bit worried about her…she has these two bluckbusters coming up this year and I think this it’s going to be huge for her, I mean, I don’t want her to be labeled as “the femme fatale” or “the one who always is naked” lol, she is more than that and these two projects are quite different from what she has done before…

Being an actor in Hollywood it’s never a bad thing to have a box office hit in your resume, especially if you are one of the main reason behind the movie success. So I’m sure appearing in 300 can only help Eva’s career in US (especially that the two previous bluckbuster type movies she appeared in (Golden Compass and Dark Shadows) both bombed at the box office (not Eva’s fault but anyway). Also don’t think we should worry too much about her recent roles being too similar. Ava Lord might be typical femme fatale but I ceratainly wouldn’t call Artemisia being femme fatale. Actually the only time when Artemisia tries using femme fatalish powers she fails. Being a female villain doesn’t equal being femme fatale. If there is any similarity between 300 and Sin City it’s that both are based on Frank Miller works so that graphic vision of the world. But that is completely different thing.
Also form what I read so far Eva’s character in Penny Dreadful might not be a femme fatale type of a woman.
For now it really looks to be good year for Eva.
