Our dear friend Riikka had the amazing opportunity to attend the recent London premiere on behalf of Eva Green Web. Her review and a some of her lovely photos are below. Please do not post her review or photos elsewhere as they are an EGW exclusive. Thank you and enjoy.

I attended the London premiere of Perfect Sense on Tuesday, October 4, as a representative of Eva Green Web. I’ve been a big fan of Eva’s work since her performance in The Dreamers and I’m not only a long time friend of Mariana and Stef, your webmistresses, but a visitor of Eva Green Web since day one. Needless to say, I was thrilled to represent the site at the premiere of Eva’s newest film, let alone one directed by David Mackenzie and co-starring Ewan McGregor, bringing together some of my very favourite contemporary film talent. I brought along my friend Katie, who took on the task of snapping photos.

We took our spots to watch the red carpet arrivals prior to the premiere at the Curzon Mayfair cinema. Ewen Bremner was the first to arrive to pose for the photographers. He was followed by Ewan McGregor, who immediately headed out towards the fans to kindly sign autographs and pose for photos. He was snapped on the red carpet with his grandmother and uncle Denis Lawson, who also appears in Perfect Sense. Eva Green was next to arrive. She delivered the drama in a stunning Emilio Pucci burgundy tulle and velvet appliqué dress and towering Sergio Rossi booties. Eva looked drop-dead gorgeous in person and, boy, did she work it for the camera! She also took time to sign autographs and pose for photos with the fans. I introduced myself to her as a representative of the site and she seemed happy and surprised about it. I’m glad to report that Eva is not only insanely talented and absolutely stunning, as we all know, but also lovely and gracious a person. I was also thrilled to get to shake hands with David Mackenzie and tell him how much I appreciate his work. The whole cast and crew returned to the red carpet to pose for group shots.

Inside of the cinema David Mackenzie and producer Gillian Berrie introduced the film and welcomed the cast and crew on stage. Eva commented that she did not want to say anything about the film, except that she hoped that the audience would enjoy it. And enjoy it I, for one, certainly did. My expectations were high considering that I’m a fan of both the director as well as the cast and I’m happy to report that the film did not disappoint.

Welcome to the new and improved Eva Green Web! Our shiny new design was created by Laura of Raspberry Crush Designs and we hope you will all love it as much as we do. In addition to the new design, the site has been converted to WordPress and we have added a lot of new content to Eva’s biography page and the filmography section has also been completely revamped. There is also a new contact form which includes our new email address evagreenwebcom@gmail.com. We have been working really hard for quite a while to pull all of this together and really hope you guys will like the new additions and updated content. Have a look around and let us know what you think and please let us know if you run into any broken links so we can fix them.

Hi guys! I just wanted to let you know that I didn’t see the recent rude comments about Eva until this morning and have since deleted them. I have also banned the person who posted them, so hopefully that is the last of the ugliness here. If for some reason any other tacky comments slip through the cracks before we see them, please don’t hesitate to let us know and we’ll take care of them.

Hello all! After being extremely busy with offline life (in fact, I still am), then taking a well deserved break, I’m back from my “hiatus”. I’ll be uploading some Womb stills very soon as well as new and old scans that have been sitting on my hard disk.

I’d also like you to give a warm welcome to my friend Roberta who’ll be joining me here at Eva Green Web. In fact, she’s not new to the site. She co-ran EGW with me when it first went online, but had to leave due to personal reasons. She remained a very good friend,  a fan of Eva and a frequent visitor. So, please, welcome her back after 4 years and make her feel at home here!

We’ll be revamping the site, working on a new layout, working on the contents, and adding new DVD and Blu-ray screencaps. Of course, it won’t happen overnight. So please be patient.

Thank you for the continued support and visits to this website. If you happened to email me recently, don’t think I’m ignoring you. I simply didn’t have the time to read all my emails yet. I’ll get there, eventually.

While I’m flattered and appreciate the interest of so many fansites wanting to affiliate with EvaGreenWeb.com, it’s been a while since I’m NOT accepting any new affilites, unless you’re a friend of mine who happens to be opening a new site, or if you have a HQ fansite dedicated to Eva herself or her co-stars and family members. I don’t want to be one of those fansites that have thousands of affiliates that they don’t even visit, or even know who runs them, and I also prefer if your site have some content. It doesn’t matter if your site doesn’t have thousands of images, but it might be a site, not just some random fansite built in less than a day just to make profit with eventual ads. EvaGreenWeb.com is a profit-free fansite (the only ads here are those of my host) that doesn’t want to encourage money-seeking only fansites. While there’s nothing wrong in trying to make some cash out of a hobby that can be time and money consuming (I know about it very well), I’d like to see that your site exists for a reason more important than just cash, but because you definitely appreciate the artist in question and want to share the love for his/her work, unite fans and provide an updated resource. If you make money with your fansite, that’s perfectly fine in my book, as long as it keeps being what a fansite should be, not something without content, never updated and full of ads, just trying to cash on a profitable celeb. I had already posted about not accepting new affiliates in the affiliates page, but I receive quite a lot of emails despite my announcement. And I hope that this announcement on the main page will finally set the record straight. That said, if I’m not accepting your site right now, it doesn’t mean I’m accusing you of having a low quality fansite or being a vulture. I’ve been contacting by some cool fansites too and I thank them for the interest and wish them good luck. I just have too many affiliates in my humble opinion. And I’m not here to collect affiliates. Thanks for understanding.

Surprise!!! We have a brand new layout, to celebrate the release of the “Golden Compass”. It’s very ethereal, a bit witchy and it also has everything to do with Eva (I didn’t want to have a Serafina layout, I wanted to have an Eva Green one.). I hope that you’ll like it. The header is a creation by my friend Janine and the coding is, as usual, by my friend Annie. Thank you girls!

Our beautiful Eva is gracing the cover and the pages of this week’s issue of Elle France! The photo used on the cover isn’t new, but the ones inside are!!! She looks gorgeous and sophisticated!!! There’s also a brand new interview that you can read here (it’s in French).

Two new additions were made to the trivia page:

- It’s Ridley Scott and his wife, a very good friend of John Galliano, who talked to him about Eva when she was filming Kingdom Of Heaven. When Eva finally met Galliano, she was expecting to see a “bullfighter” but she discovered a “very humble, reserved, sensitive, very English man.”

- The filming of the Midnight Poison TV Spot directed by Wong Kar Wai took place at the Opéra Garnier in Paris for 4 nights (after midnight). “I play some kind of toxic plant, a blue rose, who can be both good and evil, like poison. It’s a very ethereal film, out of this world, with slow movements.”
