”I work for a London taxi radio circuit for which she has an account. At the end of the ride I asked if I could take her picture, which she more than happy to do. I was just going to take one of her alone, but she suggested we do one of us together too!! I was of course more than happy to oblige.”

”When I was aged nine, I was invited to the Marinsky Ball Montblanc White Nights Festival in Russia. I played the piano 4 times. When I first met her, she was so beautiful like a Muse. Now, she is more beautiful… I asked her “Take a picture with me, please….” She gladly consented to my request!!! I was very happy. She bend her knees a bit for me. She was beautiful and what is more, very kind.”

“I attended the London premiere of Perfect Sense on Tuesday, October 4, as a representative of Eva Green Web. I’ve been a big fan of Eva’s work since her performance in The Dreamers and I’m not only a long time friend of Mariana and Stef, your webmistresses, but a visitor of Eva Green Web since day one. Needless to say, I was thrilled to represent the site at the premiere of Eva’s newest film, let alone one directed by David Mackenzie and co-starring Ewan McGregor, bringing together some of my very favourite contemporary film talent. I brought along my friend Katie, who took on the task of snapping photos.

We took our spots to watch the red carpet arrivals prior to the premiere at the Curzon Mayfair cinema. Ewen Bremner was the first to arrive to pose for the photographers. He was followed by Ewan McGregor, who immediately headed out towards the fans to kindly sign autographs and pose for photos. He was snapped on the red carpet with his grandmother and uncle Denis Lawson, who also appears in Perfect Sense. Eva Green was next to arrive. She delivered the drama in a stunning Emilio Pucci burgundy tulle and velvet appliqué dress and towering Sergio Rossi booties. Eva looked drop-dead gorgeous in person and, boy, did she work it for the camera! She also took time to sign autographs and pose for photos with the fans. I introduced myself to her as a representative of the site and she seemed happy and surprised about it. I’m glad to report that Eva is not only insanely talented and absolutely stunning, as we all know, but also lovely and gracious a person. I was also thrilled to get to shake hands with David Mackenzie and tell him how much I appreciate his work. The whole cast and crew returned to the red carpet to pose for group shots.

Inside of the cinema David Mackenzie and producer Gillian Berrie introduced the film and welcomed the cast and crew on stage. Eva commented that she did not want to say anything about the film, except that she hoped that the audience would enjoy it. And enjoy it I, for one, certainly did. My expectations were high considering that I’m a fan of both the director as well as the cast and I’m happy to report that the film did not disappoint.

Our evening was crowned by cocktails at an after party held at a club in Mayfair. We got to meet both Eva and David again and congratulate them for the wonderful work on the film.”

KING RICHARD

“As Dark Shadows was going to be a huge premiere I got there at a very early time so I’d be in a good position to meet the cast and crew (including the late Richard Zanuck JNR) Eva Green turned up looking as gorgeous as ever to the premiere and from what I can recall she did PR first, interviews with different tv networks etc when she had finished the line of interviewers she was close to the door of the cinema, thankfully one of her PAs didn’t hustle her into the cinema but fortunately Eva came over to where I was (and had been patiently waiting all day) and she kindly signed the Dark Shadows picture I had of her then I took two pictures of her and I with my iPhone, this picture is by far one of my favourite pictures I’ve ever taken and one I’m rather proud of, she was really lovely to meet, and by far one of my favourite encounters with anyone so famous. I of course thanked her for her time :)”

“I met them outside of the Casa del Mar Hotel -just a casual encounter! I’m a big fan of Eva’s work and told them both that I was an actress as well. They were together on a cigarette break. They were having a meeting there. It was a small chat, I didn’t want to intrude too much!”

SERGIO SANDOVAL

According to Sergio, Eva is equally beautiful in person, very kind, and very sweet. She surprised him by asking him to sing one song after another. Sergio sang Granada and Eva loved it. In the end, Eva hugged him and thanked him. Sergio said that he could not be more charmed and that he’ll definitely watch Penny Dreadful.

NATHAN FENTY

“I met Eva Green during the latest Cannes Festival. I was having a drink with a friend in the Martinez Hotel where she was staying when I suddenly saw a woman who was taking pictures with a couple of people. I decided to go take a photo with her too even though I hadn’t recognized her yet. I approached her and said (in French) “Excuse me, Can I take a picture with you please?” and she instantly responded “Yes of course!”. I took the photo with her and returned to my drinks with my friend and then we realized that it was Eva Green!!! I instantly recalled that I had seen her in the 300 film which I had seen in the cinema just a month ago. I decided to go back and see her again and she was smoking a cigarette and was accompanied by Mads Mikkelsen and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. I had the chance to take a photo with both actors and compliment Eva on her beauty, her great acting talent and her role in 300! She thanked me then I smoked a cigarette next to her and then she left for her interview for Le Grand Journal de Canal Plus. I saw her again after she returned from the shooting of the show and we took another photo together. It was my friend who photographed us but he has lost the photo.”

“I met Eva at the Hôtel Martinez at Cannes. We had a chat. At first, I didn’t recognize her then I realized it was her when people started asking to make selfies with her. I hallucinated that it was her. She’s a really approachable woman, kind, simple and natural and then I told her, ‘I’m sorry Eva, I didn’t recognized you. I want my selfie too (LOL)!’”

ANDREA HORVÁTH

Photo taken: Budapest, Hungary (June 2014)

“I think I was told that it was the “Spy” movie actors that are filming in the city but I waited half an hour when I caught a conversation that Eva Green is secretly filming in Budapest. I did not tell anyone about this. I tried to look for information. I did not know where to look but I saw that several places in the city have cars that you see in films, so every morning and in the evening I was somewhere else looking but I was getting nowhere that I started to lose hope. I waited 3-4 hours in the morning and in the evening in front of the hotel as much as possible but gave up the wait by Thursday night and decided to go home so I went to tram 4. When I reached the tram, I saw Eva getting out of a car in front of the Corinthia Hotel Royal with bodyguards in tow. The tram has already started so I could not get off, but the next day I went back hoping Eva have not left and I could still meet her before I go home that Saturday. I started waiting at 6am and shortly after, she came back from the shooting at 11. I was scared to call her by her name but she turned when I did. Since I was alone, the bodyguard did not take away my camera. Eva agreed to take a photo together which her assistant took. The next day, she left so maybe I had the pleasure to meet her at the last minute. It’s very difficult to find out especially if someone’s filming a commercial for reasons of confidentiality. I was lucky, I was very pleased.”

“It was amazing meeting Eva Green! I saw her coming through the side door and while she was going to her seat I asked her, ‘Eva, can I please take a picture, I’m a huge fan?‘ Her publicist said, ‘I’m sorry, we can’t right now.‘ but then Eva moved her to the side and said, ‘It’s okay,‘ and she put her arm around me and took the picture. My heart was pounding cause of how happy I was. When she was leaving I said, ‘I love you on Penny Dreadful, you’re amazing in it‘ She said ‘Thank you‘ and walked away. It was just perfection, she is a sweetheart.”

LIKA MOTTA

“So I live in Dublin for about 2 years and I soon found out that it is a very “movie” driven city. So, one day, I was going to school and decided to walk by the park near there and while I was walking, I saw some people together shooting what it looked like a movie. I stopped and asked one of the crew guys what was going on and to my surprise, he said they were shooting Penny Dreadful!! He asked if I knew it and I said “Of course!” Well, sometime after, I saw Eva Green in a distance and obviously was determined to take a picture with her. When I got the chance, I told her that I was a fan since The Dreamers. Bottom line is, I saw her doing the snow scene from the last season, it was really cool. She really is beautiful, talented and lives here in Ireland! I missed school that day, watching Eva Green shoot Penny Dreadful all afternoon!”

“So this time I was passing by near The National Museum and stopped to take a peek on the shootings. Well, for my luck Eva was there again and of course I asked to take a picture and she was very kind. She gave this huge smile on our selfie. She was rushing walking to the hotel so I just had time to say the last season was amaziiiing and she replied: “Thank you!” with another beautiful smile!”

LEA HAMMER

“So my friend and I went to Dublin on Sunday. I told her already that I am excited because they are shooting the scenes for Penny Dreadful in Dublin and that we maybe can see one of the shooting scenes! Yesterday (September 14) my friend wanted to see the Natural History Museum and as we were there, we saw that the upper floors were closed because they are filming for a TV drama series! Then we asked if it is for Penny Dreadful and they said: “Yes, Eva Green is up there!” But I was too shy to ask if it’s possible to take a picture with her. So my friend and I thought about going again today (September 15) and ask. The crew were so nice to us. They talked with us, made jokes and told us to come again in an hour and maybe we have luck to see Eva Green! So we took a walk and came back, half an hour later she came – I was so nervous, because she is such a personality. So I asked her: “Excuse me, can I take a picture with you?!” And she answered: “Ahm…Yes of course!” with a smile. We took the picture, said thanks and went on! She seems lovely, sad that I had no time to talk. It was funny to see that she is so small in contrast to me!”

“Hey guys! So last Monday, they were filming Penny Dreadful at The Natural History Museum. So during my break from work, I went there. Unfortunately, the weather was crap, very windy and rainy. I thought I was going to wait long but Eva Green soon arrived with the production guys. She was, as always, smiling and kind. She signed two photos for me, one for my fiancée Samantha and another one for me. Finally, I asked to take one more pic and this was really funny because it was hard to take one because it was windy and we laughed a lot! And that was my third encounter with her!”

SONAM GAZOME

Photo taken: Paro International Airport in Thimphu, Bhutan (December 7, 2015)

Sonam wasn’t sure yet if it was Eva that she saw and it actually took her a while to process it that she had to Google her name to be sure. Eventually, she approached her and asked for a photo to which Eva obliged. Eva was surprised to find out that Sonam knows who she is and that she wants a photo with her. Eva agreed to take a photo with her and chatted with her for a bit. Sonam feels incredibly lucky to have met Eva and that she was surprised at how lovely, amazing and down to earth Eva is in person!

VRIL ZENG

Photo taken: Paro International Airport in Thimphu, Bhutan (December 7, 2015)

Vril sat next to Eva on the plane, only separated by an aisle. She has been a fan since she saw The Dreamers so it wasn’t hard for her to spot Eva. According to Vril, Eva was very quiet and low-key so she didn’t want to bother her. Vril thought she looked very attractive and amazing in person so she was startled when Eva stood right next to her on the luggage pickup conveyor belt. Vril never expected that she would see her in an airport in Asia of all places so her fiancé politely approached Eva for her and Eva agreed to have a snap shot with her without hesitating. Vril notes that Eva was very amazed that she could be recognized in Asia!

“So I saw the filming’s info on Eva Green Web’s Instagram account and since I live in Paris, I told myself ‘Why not give it a shot?’ When I got on the same street as the set of D’après une histoire vraie, I saw her. I was so stressed. She was super nice with me and we talked a little before she had to go back in to work on a scene.”
