Quoting Eva
"I think all actors actors are very, how do you say it, “narciss-sistic”, and all want recognition. We all want that, of course, but, at the same time I want to disappear, you know. To hide..."

I’m adding a scan from last year’s issue of FHM UK dedicated to the 50 most eligible single women out there. Eva ranked at #44. And, believe it or not, Kimberly Stewart was their first choice…
Actress and Montblanc Brand Ambassador Eva Green and actor Clemens Schick arrive for the Montblanc reception at Ropac Gallery after the ‘Der Stein’ theatre premiere on July 31, 2008 in Salzburg, Austria.
EDIT: More photos now in the gallery!!! And, also, thanks to mata, we have the brand new August Calendar Page.
PS: Clemens Schick had a small role in “Casino Royale”. He played Kratt, Le Chiffre’s evil sidekick.
I’m posting this on behalf of friends of mine. They’re great with news and British magazines, but they’d need a co-web for their three upcoming sites. They need a webpartner to put up the photogallery and help to put up news on the site and someone who can make screencaps and get photos. They have no experience with running websites, but they’ve helped me a lot with contributions for my site. So I think that working with them won’t be a problem.
I’d like to say a huge thank you to Tango_down who bought GQ France and Madame Figaro especially because of Eva and for us! And also for the amazing translations. We couldn’t be happier and more fortunate to have someone like you around!
Eva Green is currently on the cover of two French magazines: GQ France and Madame Figaro.
The gorgeous Madame Figaro photoshoot was taken at Deauville in front of the beach, but also at the Normandy and Royal hotels.
In the interview, the actress who’s just turned 28 admits that she’s not ready to have children yet: “No, I don’t feel ready at all, I already have trouble taking care of my dog. I don’t know if that’s my thing. I’d need to be settled, it’ll take some time, I think.”
In GQ, she talks about her experience in “Casino Royale” and working with Daniel Craig, and “Cracks”: “I’m currently in Dublin, filming ‘Cracks’. I play a swimming teacher, in the 1930s, who falls for one of her students.”
Author Philip Pullman is not convinced that New Line Cinema will complete the His Dark Materials trilogy after the adaptation of his novel The Golden Compass underperformed in cinemas. Pullman told The Daily Telegraph that a film based on second book The Subtle Knife is unlikely to make it to the screen for its intended 2009 release date. He said: “I think people were hoping it would be out then but without the film actually having a production start date there can’t be a due date.” Read the rest of this entry »

Attention Londoners! Eva is featured in today’s issue of ES Magazine. There’s a whole page dedicated to Miss Green and “her London”. That’s a very interesting reading!
Deal is for U.K., French and Benelux rights
By Stuart Kemp
July 3, 2008
LONDON — StudioCanal has inked a deal for U.K., French and Benelux rights to Jordan Scott’s “Cracks” in a multiterritory deal that will see British indie Optimum Releasing roll out the movie out here.
The British boarding school-set period drama, which is about to wrap shooting, stars Eva Green, Juno Temple and Sinead Cusack.
The film also has attracted Alain Goldman, who will executive produce through his Legende Enterprises production banner.
“Cracks” is produced by Future Films’ Kwesi Dickson, Industry Entertainment’s Rosalie Swedlin, Killer Films’ Christine Vachon and Scott Free’s Julie Payne. Ridley Scott, Tony Scott, John Wells, Michael Costigan, Stephen Margolis and Guy Collins are exec producers.
The picture has secured funding from the Irish Film Board.
I know that many of you worried, wondering about what happened and why the site was offline. But we’re back! My awesome host unfortunately had technical difficulties. We’ve also lost the June updates, but we’re back! That’s what counts!
As for my latest post, it was about Eva not having any confirmed project after “Cracks”. At least not yet. Contrary to rumours, she didn’t sign for the new Tim Burton movie, even though that would have been awesome! Eva is still filming in Ireland, and “Cracks” will be an amazing film according to her management. We’ll only know about eventual new projects after the end of the summer. Last but not least, “Franklyn” is set for release in October of this year.
Oh, and did you see that Vesper appears briefly in the brand new “Quantum of Solace” teaser trailer?
She’s used to the trappings of life on the set of multimillion-dollar blockbusters, but former Bond girl Eva Green is still happy to get down and dirty in the wilds of Co Wicklow.
Locals in the village of Redcross were given lashings of Gallic charm as the Parisian actress rolled into town with a film crew.
It didn’t take much to transform the sleepy one-street village, nestled in the Wicklow mountains, into a 1930s-era thoroughfare for the new film ‘Cracks’.
Local extras, dressed in heavy tweeds, milled about vintage cars between takes — and even members of the local sheep population got walk-on roles.
It’s not the first visit to Ireland for the stunning actress, although last time round she didn’t have a personal hairdresser and make-up artist on hand.
“When I was 15 I went to Galway on an exchange. It’s one of my best memories,” she recalled during a break in filming yesterday.
“Coming back from a work point of view is very different … the countryside is magnificent and mysterious. This is the best role I’ve ever read. It’s amazing, quite dark,” she added. Read the rest of this entry »
Surprise, surprise! The first on-set pic of Eva on the set of “Cracks” has surfaced! There she was photographed in Dublin on May 23rd. She didn’t look very happy though. Imogen Poots was one of the girls filming this very same day. No sight of Juno Temple or MarĂa Valverde yet.
EDIT: Six more HQs were added. This time you can really spot Miss G.’s 30s look.
The photos are the same, but now we have new Ads from the UK, Italy and Brazil thanks to Laura, Beatrice and Roberta! If you emailed me a Montblanc ad too and it wasn’t posted, please email me again. Real life has been very busy.
‘Casino Royale’ star Eva Green begins work on her new film ‘Cracks’ in Dublin today.
Along with Green, the film will also star ‘Atonement’s Juno Temple and ‘28 Weeks Later’ actress Imogen Poots.
Set in a boarding school in 1930s England, the film tells the story of a girl’s unhealthy bond with her teacher which is threatened by the arrival of a new student. Read the rest of this entry »

At the Abbey Mills Pumping Station in East London, where a grimy waterworks has been fashioned into a bureaucratic dystopia, the whiff of Gilliam hangs heavily in the air. From the extras dressed as chavvy Camden Market regulars to the forbidding line of registration booths, today’s set detail is so saturated in Gilliamana, you half expect ol’ Terry to poke his head out and start giggling. “I will hold my hand up,” chuckles Franklyn’s writer-director Gerald McMorrow, “and say that I’m a child of Gilliam and Tim Burton. There are elements of Brazil here, but it’s more Victorianism via the Kingdom of Brunel.” Read the rest of this entry »
Thanks to the lovely Clarisse for informing me that the French/German TV channel ARTE will air “The Dreamers” tonight at 9pm for the first time on open TV in those countries. Be sure to watch it if you can!!!
Dynasty beauty Joan Collins helped fellow actress Eva Green out of a tight spot with the loan of a ÂŁ5-million necklace at a glittering party in Switzerland. Both screen lovelies had been promised spectacular sparklers by the organisers of the event, luxury accessories brand Montblanc.
“Eva’s went missing and wasn’t delivered to her in time,” reveals a source. “When Joan realised (the French star) didn’t have a necklace she generously parted with her own. It had more than 3,000 diamonds, including one six-carat stone, to make sure Eva was suitably attired when she faced the cameras.”
And the grateful Parisian found a sophisticated alternative to the way Joan had worn the necklace - by draping the stunning jewels down her back.
