You already know who to thank for it: our awesome mata! 🙂

While we all wait for new Eva-related news or public appearances, I started scanning a few older magazines. Here’s the first of them.

Thanks to the lovely Clarisse for informing me that the French/German TV channel ARTE will air “The Dreamers” tonight at 9pm for the first time on open TV in those countries. Be sure to watch it if you can!!!
Dynasty beauty Joan Collins helped fellow actress Eva Green out of a tight spot with the loan of a £5-million necklace at a glittering party in Switzerland. Both screen lovelies had been promised spectacular sparklers by the organisers of the event, luxury accessories brand Montblanc.
“Eva’s went missing and wasn’t delivered to her in time,” reveals a source. “When Joan realised (the French star) didn’t have a necklace she generously parted with her own. It had more than 3,000 diamonds, including one six-carat stone, to make sure Eva was suitably attired when she faced the cameras.”
And the grateful Parisian found a sophisticated alternative to the way Joan had worn the necklace – by draping the stunning jewels down her back.

“It’ really like nothing else you’ve ever seen,” he says. “That’s the kind of stuff I try to find. It’s really original. The closest description I can come up with is: ‘Batman’ meets ‘Magnolia.’ So, it’s really going to be interesting.”

Today I don’t bring you a scan that’s directly Eva-related. In fact, it’s an article about the whole process of shooting “Franklyn”. I think that this can be interesting for those interested in filmmaking or all of us who want to know more about this film.

Jordan’s film, Cracks, meanwhile, recalls the contained nature of her father’s 1977 debut The Duellists. It is a tale of “misguided love and obsession” set in an English all-girls boarding school in the 1930s. Eva Green, star of Casino Royale, will play Miss G, a charismatic teacher. “It reminded me a lot of Lord of the Flies,” says Jordan, who co-directed the short Jonathan with her father for the 2005 anthology movie All the Invisible Children. “It was interesting as you always see that kind of story played out among boys. You never see it presented with a group of girls.”

‘Casino Royale’ star Eva Green hates her image as the sexy French girl – and the scandalous rumours that follow her, says Celia Walden
Eva Green, best known as the vulpine Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale, looks uncomfortably beautiful – encumbered, embarrassed and bored, it seems, by her own looks. This morning, in the draughty basement of a Sloane Street store, her narrow frame is clad in secretarial, dark-grey Roland Mouret, while her blue-black hair is tressed in neat waves around her pale face, which has been made-up to look un-made-up.
“After Casino Royale it all happened quickly,” she says, with an unexpected cockney inflection to her thick French accent, “although I’m not really recognised in the street yet. I don’t dress like this in real life, so I’m still getting away with it.”
Thanks to Ms Green’s management, I can announce you her next official film project. Eva is set to star as ‘Miss G’, a charismatic teacher, in “Cracks”, to be directed by Jordan Scott, Ridley Scott’s daughter. They need to complete the financing, which should be done soon – and shooting is set for March, April and May. This film isn’t on IMDb.com yet, so don’t bother going there for info. “Cracks” is a British boarding school-set period drama. “It’s about misguided love and obsession, as told through the eyes of a group of elite girls in this boarding school,” said Jordan Scott.
PS: I’ll also have something else to announce you this week end. But don’t ask now. You’ll know about it when it’ll be the right time. In the meantime, enjoy these fabulous news! 😉
