He’s midway through work on a new film, Franklyn, in London.

“It’s with Ryan Phillippe and Eva Green. I can’t really say too much about the story line, but it’s pretty far-out. . . . It was the most interesting script I read after Control, and one of the only ones that didn’t involve me killing myself, either. Not to say I’ll never play another depressed individual, but not immediately after this.”

Okay, I would never normally post and ask for donations but this is an emergency. Mycah, fellow Famke-Janssen.org, Abbie-Cornish.com, Rose-McGowan.com and Glamour Reese Witherspoon (these last three are co-run with Riikka) webmistress, is in a horrible situation right now. Her house burned down earlier this week and she really needs our help. If you enjoy her work on her sites and can spare anything at all, please consider donating. She is okay but her family lost their home and all possessions and they have no place to stay. You can read about the incident here. If you can help at all, Mycah’s PayPal address is agnesfanb89@yahoo.com. I’m sure that any donations will be more than appreciated.

The very first promotional shot of “Franklyn” is now out! It portrays Eva Green (Emilia) and Sam Riley (Milo). How exciting, isn’t it?!

By the way, if you can, go and see “Control” in which Riley portrays Ian Curtis, the singer of Joy Division. He’s truly great in it. And the photography is absolutely beautiful. I definitely recommend the film and hope to see more of Sam Riley in the future.

EDIT: Here’s a scan from today’s Daily Mail thanks to Lorna!

Many thanks to my good friend Mycah for sending in a breathtakingly beautiful new shot of Eva from the Photo Issue of Entertainment Weekly!

I’ve managed to buy my copy of Vanity Fair today and made scans for the site. As mentioned here, the stands version doesn’t have as much Eva as the online one, but it’s still great to see our girl promoting her new movie in a major American magazine. Be prepared because the “Golden Compass” promotion is just starting! Please be sure to contribute with scans if you can.

Eva was spotted on the set of “Franklyn” in London this Wednesday. Here are the first 3 photos of her as Emilia.

PS: You can see her blonde roots. 😉

Principal photography has begun on Ryan Phillippe’s new film, Franklyn.

The feature debut for writer/director Gerald McMorrow also stars Eva Green, Sam Riley, Bernard Hill, Susannah York and Art Malik.

Set between the parallel worlds of contemporary London and the “futuristic faith-dominated metropolis” of Meanwhile City, the flick weaves a tale of four lost souls, whose lives are intertwined by love, fate and tragedy.

Produced by Jeremy Thomas and co-produced by Alexandra Stone and Nick O’Hagan, Franklyn marks the feature film debut of award-winning director Gerald McMorrow, whose short film Thespian X won the TCM Classic Shorts Film Competition. Peter Watson is executive producer.

Jeremy said: “We’ve had wonderful experiences working with first-time directors such as Jonathan Glazer (Sexy Beast) and David Mackenzie (Young Adam) to bring their talent to audiences around the world and we are very excited by Gerald’s creativity and convinced that this will be a powerful and dynamic film.”

After not having access to a computer for a while, I’m semi-back. I still have to read lots of emails, reinstall things, etc. But, please, have in mind that I also have a busy offline life and it comes first. 😉

Thanks to all of you who kept visiting the site during this semi-hiatus and for supporting Eva Green Web and Ms Green.

Well, now, let’s go back to Eva…

At this link:

There is a video of James McAvoy and fellow judges on the Bafta panel talking about how they choose the nominees for the Rising Star Award – including clips of Eva. There is also another video featuring her on the same page, which plays automatically after the one mentioned above (which also plays automatically).

Thanks to lola for the heads-up. 🙂
