The October release for Sin City: A Dame To Kill For has been scrapped and the film will now be released on 22nd August next year.
This makes it two Eva Green vs. green screen pictures to be punted out of the 2013 schedules and into 2014 after 300: Rise of an Empire.
And both are based on Frank Miller comic books too. Somebody superstitious might go crazy trying to pin down what to blame this all on.
There’s no word on why the film has been pushed back but, hey, it’s a Dimension film and the Weinsteins are involved. They have long and tall shelves and they seem to like a little gathering dust.

So… Maybe no Eva this year? 🙁
300: Rise of an Empire (2014)
Sin City 2 (2014)
The Salvation (2014)
White Bird (???)

Wow, seriously? The fact that is being postponed to a month like August, which is normally used to dump bad movies, frightens me more than the actual delay. I just hope that White Bird in a Blizzard is still released this year, even if it’s just in a film festival… Really disappointed by this, I had high hopes for Sin City. On the bright side, I was pleasantly surprised by the trailer for 300, I actually liked the first one, and Eva looks fierce.

If anyone is interested, Eva’s White Bird/Sin City 2 co-star has a LOT of nice things to say about her in this interview: h ttp://www.vulture.com/m/2013/06/chris-meloni-man-of-steel-interview.html
